Margaret Lee Braun is the past director and co-founder of the national DES Cancer Network in Washington, D.C. She has played a key role working with consumer groups, legislators, and the National Cancer Institute, to gain DES medical research and public education. Margaret has consulted on DES (diethylstilbestrol) research studies and serves on the NCI steering committee overseeing DES medical research in the U.S. Her experience as DES daughter, DES cancer survivor, and health advocate inspires her recording of DES stories.

In DES Stories, Margaret explores personal and social responses to DES-stories that are at the heart of the DES (diethylstilbestrol) exposure.

Nancy M. Stuart is an award-winning portrait photographer, associate dean of the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology, and professor of photography. Nancy specializes in portraiture that traces the impact of social issues on personal lives. Her DES Stories portraits have been shown throughout the U.S. and been awarded a prestigious John Kobal prize at the National Portrait Gallery, London.
